My Saviors!

I sat in a corner, my head hung low
Unacknowledged by all… Mary, Judy, even Joe!

No smiles or greetings ever flung my way
Even a fleeting glance would’ve made my day!

None to reprise of the joys or the tears
None to tell what gladdens the heart or what it fears…

The Pen and the Paper, they came to my rescue
Listened to all I had to say, never did they rue…

Never to leave me, that’s what they intend
The corner and the notebook – now my best friends!

I sit in the corner, with my friends in tow
Not bothered about anyone, Mary, Judy or even Joe…
